THINGS TO EXPECT AS AN ADMIN ASSISTANT: 
 

  •         Perform tasks with a strong attention to detail and in an organized manner; effectively handle multiple projects at the same time.  
  •         Process incoming calls, screen, research and respond to requests; refer calls to appropriate personnel and retrieve voice mail.
  •         Complete all data entry for client intake procedures and maintain participant scheduling as designated by program.
  •         Generate applicable monthly reports as dictated by program needs. 
  •         Assist program staff with special projects including data gathering, data analysis and summary reporting
  •        Maintain standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times, including verbal and written client/family information.  
  •        Be aware of all contractual obligations pursuant upon the facility as a result of placements by each agency.
  •        Observe all ethical principles and standards of your profession and assume and carry out clinical and administrative functions consistent with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  •        Represent A NEW LEAF and its mission in a variety of public and community settings, doing so in ways that uphold the highest in professional and moral ethics
  •        Attend occasional evening and weekend tabling events

HOURS: Flexible Up To 29 Hours

PAY: $15.00/HR (+ Additional Bilingual Incentive Pay)


 
QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education:        

·     High School Diploma or GED, required. 

·        Bilingual in Spanish/English, preferred.   

·        Bachelor’s degree in related area (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Women’s Studies, Justice Studies, Counseling, Family Studies, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, etc.., preferred. 


Experience:       

·        6-months work experience in the field of social services, preferred. 

·        Demonstrated knowledge of dynamics of trauma, sexual and domestic violence, and social services.  

·        Effective interviewing and crisis counseling skills
