THINGS TO EXPECT AS AN OUTREACH ADVOCATE: 
 

·        Critically analyze situations and respond on a case-by-case basis.  

·        Provide services, create a supportive environment, and interact with participants, and their children, in a manner that builds on their strengths. 

·        Case Manager for all general intake participants.  

·        Lead expert on Housing opportunities within the state. 

·        Work cooperatively with victim advocates on shared case management goals. 

·        Create, update and disseminate resource binder for each department.   

·        Provide Outreach to victims, by distributing information and providing immediate assistance to victims at community events. 

·        Financial literacy preferred; Such as creating budget plans, cashflow management,, and maintaining a balance spreadsheet

·       Drive personal or agency vehicle to conduct program business

·       Be proficient in Excel

PAY: $18.00/HR

SCHEDULE: Tuesday-Friday: 7am-5pm


 
QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education:        

·     High School Diploma or GED, required. 

·        Bilingual in Spanish/English, preferred.   

·        Bachelor’s degree in related area (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Women’s Studies, Justice Studies, Counseling, Family Studies, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, etc.., preferred. 


Experience:       

·        6-months work experience in the field of social services, preferred. 

·        Demonstrated knowledge of dynamics of trauma, sexual and domestic violence, and social services.  

·        Effective interviewing and crisis counseling skills
