A New Leaf continues to grow to respond to needs in our community by developing comprehensive, relevant and effective services for vulnerable and underserved families, children, and adults.


THINGS TO EXPECT AS A Community Engagement Coordinator: 

·        Promote trauma informed practices at an individual and organizational level. 

·       Develop partnerships with and work collaboratively with other social service agencies and community entities to increase outreach to potential participants and secure resources for program participants. 

·        Work cooperatively with Director to ensure advocates and volunteers receive adequate training on community resources and established protocol for access to various services. 

·        Plan outreach activities/events with Director and supervisory staff to include seasonal, awareness, and holiday events.  

·        Review participation requests for events and presentations, revaluate requests for suitability, and maintain event schedule. 

·       Conduct community presentations, awareness activities, and participate in tabling events in public forums. 

·        Provide direct services/resources/referrals when needed. 

·       Maintain documentation of outreach activities and events for reporting purposes, complete and assist in required weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as needed. 

·       Be able to work a flexible schedule; including, working weekends and evenings to attend events. 

·       Drive personal and agency vehicles to conduct program business and attend events

This work consists of helping others who are going through a rough patch get back on their feet by providing them with resources and tools they can use once they leave the shelter environment. PAY: $18.00/HR

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm (with some weekends and evenings)



·     High School Diploma or GED, required. 

·        Bilingual in Spanish/English, preferred.   

·        Bachelor’s degree in related area (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Women’s Studies, Justice Studies, Counseling, Family Studies, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, etc.., preferred. 


·        1+ year experience working in social services field.  

·        Experience working in Domestic Violence or Sexual Violence field, preferred.    
·       Demonstrated knowledge of trauma informed care, sexual and domestic violence, and social services, preferred.     
·        Demonstrated experience conducting presentations and facilitating events.    
·        Demonstrated experienced working collaboratively with a community.
