Production Tech I-Fabrication (2nd Shift)

The Fabrication Technician operates equipment which manufactures the metal fabricated frame for product being produced.  This position is also responsible for quality inspection of the components being produced.
 

Production Activities:

• Read and understand the production schedule
• Perform all required production activities for the area assigned. 
• Operate fabrication equipment in the cell such as Robotic Welders, Hydraulic Banks, Saws, Benders, Drill Presses
• Change welding whip and liner as needed
• Operate tools required in the cell such as handheld drills/screw guns, riveters, impact tools, screw drivers, wrenches and any other tools that may be required in the area.
• Maintain high levels of quality and follow work instruction documents
• Train new technicians

Continuous Improvement:

• Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events, layout planning, Value Stream Mapping as events happen)
• Provide suggestions for continuous improvement
• Monitor productivity and downtime issues to provide suggestions
• Be open to changes occurring to improve processes

Safety

• Maintain Safety as the highest priority
• Properly train new employees regarding PPE and Safety requirements in the cell
• Notify the manager of safety concerns
