Manufacturing Engineer
KI has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer for our OEI division. This position is based out of KI's Corporate office in Green Bay.
This role will provide engineering and technical support and training to Federal and State governments' correctional industry staff and inmates as well as OEI end users. Responsibilities include developing new products based on customer needs, providing feedback to KI manufacturing facilities on product quality and performing quality inspections when required. The role also requires considerable travel to various prisons throughout the United States to train prison inmates and staff, install tooling packages and train sales staff on the detail of OEI's products.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related field. Related engineering experience and electrical skills are preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of CAD, basic metal fabrication and plastic manufacturing processes. Training experience and knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (BPCS, SAP, etc.), LEED, SCS Global Environmental Standards and ISO 9000 quality systems are a plus. The ability to travel approximately 40-60 days per year is required.
