 Position responsibilities include:

• Study and analyze industrial accident causes and health hazards for use by company personnel and outside agencies.
• Formulate general safety policies and measures to be followed by company or plant personnel.
• Consults with all departments on design and use of equipment, fire prevention and safety programs. Guides investigations of injuries via Root Cause Analysis in conjunction with line and staff personnel. Develops effective and sustainable corrective actions.
• Evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develops hazard control practices and programs.
• Assist in communicating hazard control information and evaluates effectiveness of the control.
• Guide and assist plant personnel at locations with critical safety and health problems.
• Overviews company accident statistics and makes recommendations for correction of problem areas.
• Plan and direct safety and industrial hygiene services of insurance carriers to obtain optimum services.

This position requires three years’ professional experience in manufacturing industry, with a focus on safety. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management. Knowledge of federal, state, local safety, health and medical rules and regulations. Familiar with Emergency Procedures in First Aid, CPR, Defibrillator.

Knowledge of State workers’ compensation and State Disability, FMLA, ADA laws/rules. Must possess good organizational and administration skills.
