2nd Shift Production Control Coordinator

Summary/Purpose

(2nd Shift Position) Responsible for the daily Production Control activities including Customer Service, Planning, and Logistics coordination.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

• Responsible for adjusting short term production schedule


• Track schedule performance and inventory


• Releasing expedite orders/paperwork to the Shipping Department


• Cycle Counting and Oracle inventory corrections


• Component ordering


• Support daily sales objectives


• Support manufacturing to meet customer requirements


• Responsible for expediting and supporting production efficiency requirements


• Establish and update packing instructions


• Work in Process control


• Maintenance and printing of Kanbans


• Assist Production Control Planners with Phase In / Out Plans


• Lead communication between Production and Logistics when there is material shortages


• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and Experience: 1 Must Apply

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in business from four-year college and one to three years related experience


• Associate’s degree from two/four year college or university with three to five years related experience


• High School Diploma or GED with five to seven years of related experience

• The performance of this position routinely requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require mandatory protective equipment such as safety glasses, slip resistant steel toe shoes, and hearing protection.


• Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 5-10% of time.
