Tax Resolution Client Advocate

As a TR Client Advocate at Jackson Hewitt, you will be an integral part of growing national business to help clients resolve their tax issues with the IRS. This role will be the client facing representative for our tax resolution services and will interact with our clients on a regular basis to help resolve their tax issues with the IRS.
What you'll do here:
- Coordinate tax problem solving solutions for our clients
- Serve as the point of contact for your clients, communicating important actions, status updates, and needed information with your clients
- Regularly collaborate with tax preparers, licensed tax professionals, and other team members to timely resolve client tax issues
- Resolve issues by evaluating options, setting a plan, aligning the plan with the client’s needs, and delivering each step to completion
- Draft solution-oriented recommendations, strategies and arguments addressing specific clients’ tax issues on a consistent basis.
- Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and determine the best course of action to resolve client tax issues
- Manage assigned clients and priorities, and work with other team members to resolve client issues
Skills you'll bring for success:
- Bachelor’s degree; or experience working in financial services and an Associate degree or high school diploma
- Tax preparation or tax resolution experience a plus
- 2-3 years tax preparation preferred
- IRS collection agreement experience is a plus
- Professional, service-minded demeanor; ability to maintain confidence, friendly, and helpful tone in conversation
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills
- Able to prioritize and manage caseload
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to change.
- Proficient and comfortable with computers and computer software
