The Jewish Board’s Behavioral Health programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve.  Our staff uses a culturally sensitive, family and relationship centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency.  Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities.

 

The Staff RN is responsible for overseeing health care needs of all the individuals residing in the clinic.  The Staff RN is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, documenting, administering and evaluating nursing care needs and services provided.  The duties include providing first aid to individuals and attending to their emergency medical needs; providing follow up of  individuals medical problems; and dispensing medication to individuals in accordance with prescriber’s orders. The Staff RN covering the Clinic must be in direct communication with, take assignments from and report all events and clinical findings to the RN Case Manager assigned to the residence.

 

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides nursing care according to MD orders, in compliance with nursing and regulatory standards.
  • Conducts rounds throughout the facilities on assigned shifts.
  • Monitors individuals health needs to ensure well-being.
  • Provides ongoing care as well as care for minor illnesses, emergencies and injuries to individuals.
  • Documents timely, outcome based information.
  • Assists in medication administration; prepares and delivers treatments as needed.
  • Checks medications and supply inventory, providing documented reports to the RN Case Manager, as necessary.
  • Assists in the training of direct care staff regarding medical information, medication administration and other services, as assigned by the RN case manager or Director of Medical Services.
  • Provides oversight of AMAP staff and reports findings or issues of concern to the RN Case Manager.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State, local and OSHA regulations.
  • Participates in the interdisciplinary treatment team process.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings and seminars as required.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
