Incident Management Operations Coordinator

Iteris is seeking an Incident Management Operations (IMO) Coordinator to support our 24-hour Traffic Operations Center. Using cutting-edge technology, the ideal candidate will be monitoring traffic incidents across North America. This will be an overnight shift starting from 9:30pm and ending at 5:30am. Because we monitor real-time traffic, our shifts can be flexible and tend to be non-traditional, so if you're flexible and looking for overnight shifts, this job may be right for you. This entry-level position will be full-time (40 hours per week). A strong candidate will be local to the Richmond area and candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.


What you will be doing:

  • Proactively enter, edit, and monitor traffic incident information derived from Iteris data feeds
  • Monitor cameras, live traffic probes, online traffic reports, social and commercial media, police/fire scanners, and other sources
  • Be able to work well under pressure to curate traffic incidents quickly and efficiently
  • Communicate with local agencies regarding traffic incident information
  • Report Iteris system performance and feed reliability issues
  • Document and maintain traffic incident records as required
  • Other tasks as may emerge from time to time

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and popular online mapping applications/services
  • Prior experience in traffic, mapping, or dispatch is a plus but not required
