Prototype Assembler

Iteris is looking for a Prototype Assembler to perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in per-production projects. The ideal candidate will work with rough schematics, drawings and oral instructions to assemble or rework developmental assemblies. They will also spend roughly half time or more in a production environment in support of revenue goals of the business.

What you will be doing:

  • Assemble complex electronic assemblies for both engineering and production
  • May perform rework on various assemblies, may include interacting with engineering personnel and working with oral instructions
  • Perform fine pitch component replacement on assemblies, often using microscope for the work
  • Assembles electronic assemblies in support of manufacturing using basic electro-mechanical skills
  • Supports engineering with prototype assembly work, will also support manufacturing rework activities
  • Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and diagrams

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • Minimum one (1) year of soldering experience, J-STD-001 preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years electro-mechanical assembly experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Micro Soldering Certification a plus
