Department description:
The Transmission Strategy & Resource Qualification Department focuses on the business and technical side of the Interconnection Procedures for new generators and elective transmission upgrade projects as well as qualifying those resources for the Forward Capacity Market.

What will you be working on:
In this internship, you will work directly with the Project Managers in developing interconnection agreements, study agreements and other tasks to help projects maneuver through the interconnection process.  This will entail assisting on multiple projects in various phases of the interconnection process.

How will you make an impact:
The ISO receives a high volume of new interconnection requests during the Show of Interest period. You will assist Project Managers in IA development meeting by editing the working draft of the Interconnection Agreement based on discussion.  You will learn how to use agreement templates to create working draft of Interconnection and study agreements.
With a high volume of requests, your work on these new projects and getting them started through the interconnection process is extremely valuable.

To be eligible for the internship candidate must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program. Candidates must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship.
