TCM Bank is in Tampa, FL. This is a remote opportunity. If living outside of the area, travel expectations would be at least 4 times (over-night travel) per year. Summary:

The People & Culture Generalist provides support for day-to-day People Office operations as it relates to human resources. This includes responding to employee inquiries, supporting Talent Acquisition, processing HRIS workflow, and coordinating benefit & payroll support, etc. The individual will play a role in projects for continuous improvement of HR processes and the employee experience which provides general support to the People Office’s strategic goals and TCM’s Guiding Principles. A successful People & Culture Generalist will build sustainable service-focused relationships with employees, highlighting employee engagement and fostering the TCM culture.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the first level of response and interaction for the department while balancing urgency and timeliness of duties.
  • Serve as a consultant to employees in areas of process, policy and resource guidance, general benefit and leave inquiries and training.
  • Answer questions pertaining to the interpretation of HR policies, including employee handbook, HR, or Payroll related questions. 
  • Contribute, create, and publish employee communications for TCM People Office SharePoint site.  
  • Build strong professional relationships with employees and teams to deliver value-added services.
  • Assist People Office leaders with HR-related metrics: ad-hoc reporting, local market research, and analysis, as needed. 
  • Collaborates and supports HR in areas such as talent acquisition, engagement, and leave of absence.
  • Responsible for the recruitment process for entry to mid-level positions. Includes managing the requisition process, identifying appropriate sourcing strategies, & supporting the hiring manager on the candidate selection process.
  • Collaborate with Managers to onboard new hires, conduct orientation, and partner with the People Office for the overall new employee experience.
  • Assist the Manager, People & Culture on employee relation matters.
  • Assist the department in planning, budgeting, events, or training.
  • Conduct exit interviews and be responsible for the employee exit/separation process.
  • Stay current on developments in federal and state laws, and employee/employer relations.
  • Is a point of contact for data collection in compliance with bank-specific audits, EEO, and payroll; includes running reports and submitting data.
  • Coordinates culture and celebration initiatives surrounding employee life events.
  • Promote inclusion, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the parent organization, industry contacts, and vendors. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred).
  • Must have at least 3 years of HR experience in roles such as HR Generalist or Sr. HR Coordinator, in lieu of degree.  This should include supporting a non-exempt employee population.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification required or must be able to obtain within 1 year of employment. Maintenance of certification is required.
  • Multi-state experience and knowledge of employment law and compliance are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Wage and Hour laws, including FLSA and timesheet payroll practices.
  • Requires solid knowledge of principles and practices of human resource administration.
  • Proven experience and demonstration of utilizing resources and tools available that provide guidance or cultivate solutions that encompass the company culture.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, guidance techniques, and principles to guide employees to the best resolution and outcome.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of EEO and governmental compliance laws, including file submission of EEO1 reporting.
  • Desire and ability to grow and develop skillsets for future growth and advancement.
  • Knowledge of laws affecting human resources administration.
  • Knowledge and understanding of leave administration (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Will have demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply policies and procedures and provide guidance on all HR issues.
  • Collects and analyzes information to synthesize and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated team player with the ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Balance shifting competing priorities and tasks while meeting deadlines and urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execution of duties.
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Dayforce a plus.

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, etc.  The offer rate represents one component of TCM Bank's total compensation package. Employees will also receive several benefits as listed below.  Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility in the TCM Annual Bonus Incentive Program.
