We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic IT Technician II to join our team!

 

Summary/Objective:

 

This Information Technology Technician II role is aligned with the network department. As an Information Technology Technician II, you’ll be part of our dynamic IT team, contributing to the smooth functioning of our network infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software to seamlessly support connectivity and efficient operations. As the IT Technician II, your daily duties may include: 

  • Network Troubleshooting:
    1. Investigate and resolve network-related problems promptly.
    2. Assist end-users with connectivity issues, both wired and wireless.
    3. Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) issues.
  • Installation and Configuration:
    1. Assist in setting up network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
    2. Configure network software and ensure proper functionality.
    3. Document installation procedures for future reference.
  • Hardware Maintenance:
    1. Perform basic maintenance tasks on network hardware.
    2. Replace faulty components and ensure optimal performance.
    3. Keep an inventory of network equipment.
  • Security and Compliance:
    1. Follow security protocols to protect network integrity.
    2. Assist in monitoring network traffic for anomalies.
    3. Adhere to company policies and industry standards.
  • User Support:
    1. Provide technical assistance to end-users regarding network connectivity.
    2. Educate users on best practices for network usage.
    3. Collaborate with the service desk team to address user queries.

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Tech
  • Basic certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA Preferred
