We are currently hiring a Full-Time Optical Stockroom Team Lead – 3rd Shift.

 

*Work schedule is:

Crew 3 = 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)

6:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Wednesday)

Work Hours: 12 Hours Shift

SUMMARY

Assist in the controlling and coordinating of all essential activities within the department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

  • Ensuring that employees prioritize work based on start dates and follow all S.O.P.
  • Assisted in the monitoring and scheduling of employees' daily activities.
  • Constant feedback about working hours, quality, and service.
  • Daily repairing and maintaining all equipment.
  • Assist in the development of new procedures to improve the process.
  • Assist in the training and cross-training of employees
  • Assisting in the preparation of all documents for tracking production, quality, and goals.
  • Assisting in the writing of reviews and coaching
  • Assist in the development of new leaders
  • Assisting in the production process in all department areas.
  • Ensure that all good safety practices are being followed all the time.

 

Secondary Duties

  • Assisting in the coverage in other areas when needed
  • Generating ideas to benefit the lab

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience

  • Two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge/skill in all areas of the department.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • The ability to communicate openly with others and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
  • Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to understand and implement work instructions.
  • Must be able to understand basic job work tickets.
  • The ability to do simple/basic math
  • Work without supervision
  • Mechanical ability to repair equipment
  • Good communication skill

 

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team leader may be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.  The Team leader is frequently required to use his/her hands to manipulate, handle, or feel. The Team Leader must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Safety Requirements

  • Detailed understanding and enforcement of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Leader is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment may require P.P.E.
  • Safety glasses and long-sleeved shirts may be required where needed.
