SUMMARY

Leading and managing a project team in building successful projects, cost control for managing day-to-day activities of subcontractors and suppliers, contract administration, procurement, estimating, pay requests, change orders, requests for information, cost control, scheduling, tracking submittals, safety controls, maintaining and delivering a high level of quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review/approve project team on-site setup, including facilities layout, selection of forming systems and equipment.
  • Monitor receipt of subcontractor bonds and periodically review status of subcontractor management, change order processing and shop drawings.
  • Become thoroughly knowledgeable of projected costs, contingent liabilities, and contingent savings/increased profits.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with owner, design team and subcontractors while maximizing Haydon’s visibility in surrounding community.
  • Thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project.

QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree; 7+ years in construction management, architecture or similar field. Experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience considered.  Excellent skills in P6 scheduling software and Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, On Center OST, MS Project, and HCSS software.  High energy level and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.  Understands and abides by all government processes and regulations.
