Summary

Responsible for management, strategy and execution of  IT infrastructure  of all  technology platforms, systems and partners to support current and long-term operational requirements.
 

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee all organization’s IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security and communication systems)
  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Consult senior level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
  • Manage policies and procedures for compliance to meet company, state, and federal guidelines (including Cyber Security, HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, SAS94 and CARF).  Audit these systems regularly.
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation and support of systems
  • Develop, manage and track the Information Technology budget and expenditures including annual operating and long-term strategic budget planning.
  • Supervise the Information Technology team, contractors/vendors to achieve established goals 
  • Make recommendations about the purchase of technology resources and, in collaboration with the Purchasing Department, procure the approved hardware and software
  • Provide direction, guidance, supervision and training to IT staff including hiring and dismissal
  • Direct and prioritize the workload of IT personnel based upon business needs.

 

Ancillary Job Functions

  • •Provide high level customer service to IT systems’ end users
  • •Replace computer network equipment and install software as needed.
  • •Support annual financial audit.
  • •Establish orientation to new users of existing technology and train staff about new and potential use of technology.
  • •Maintain current and accurate inventory records of technology hardware, software, and resources.
  • •Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • •Seven to ten years of experience required in computer networks and Windows operating systems.
  • •Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

  • •Proven experience as IT director or similar role leading an information technology team
  • •Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • •Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • •Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • •Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • •Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff.
  • •Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • •Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • •Outstanding communication abilities
