The candidate will participate in all phases of the software development cycle: from product definition and design through implementation, debugging, and testing. You will work collaboratively with other engineers and must be willing to take on any technical tasks that contribute to the goals of the team and the company.

Job Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Overall 5+ Years of experience in building enterprise applications required
  • Knowledge of PHP web frameworks including Zend, Laravel, and CodeIgniter required
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
  • Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
  • Previous experience migrating legacy applications and creating scalable applications.
  • Knowledge of ECMAScript features and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Ember)
  • Perl
  • Experience in writing unit and integration test case for custom PHP application using mock framework.
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) an advantage
  • Excellent relational database skills with MySQL
  • Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap
  • Working knowledge of Unix / Linux
  • Work closely with the Product and Design teams as part of an Agile Development process
  • Experience in Continuous Integration using tools like Jenkins / Bamboo would be an added advantage
  • Experience in Code Repositories using any of these tools like GIT would be an added advantage
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workaround.

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering advantage or equivalent work experience

Good To Have:

  • Familiarity with social API’s and integrations (Facebook, Twitter, Google+).
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Knowledge of Cloud eco system such as AWS, GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Azure.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Working experience in React/Angular.

  • Ability to troubleshoot application-level problems in a wide variety of languages, namely PHP, Perl / mod_perl, JavaScript and Java
  • Ability to troubleshoot database level problems and strong fluency in SQL
  • Ability to work with configuration systems, namely CFEngine & Puppet
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce usable and maintainable documentation
  • Ability to provide a professional interface to internal and external customers and vendors
