About the Job:

Join our team of Benefits Specialists who are dedicated to providing high quality support to our employees and clients by answering benefits questions and administering benefits to employees and HR professionals across 41 states. This role’s primary responsibilities are:

  • Respond to employees and retirees who need assistance with claims, eligibility, plan design and complex issues
  • Partner with benefit vendors to ensure service levels are met and plans are administered appropriately
  • Provide health and welfare benefits administration including enrollment, eligibility, and qualified status transactions for self-insured and insured programs offered through multiple benefit vendors
  • Support retirement benefits and plans, including 401(k) and multiple defined benefit pension plans
  • Provide support on various department and organizational projects

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field
  • Internship and/or 1 year of benefits/HR related experience
  • Eager to learn and become a subject matter expert in employee health and welfare benefits and/or retirement plan administration processes
  • Skill in finding solutions to problems
  • Skill in utilizing technology to increase efficiency
  • Skill in managing workload to accomplish competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to:
    • Exchange information effectively with peers, manager, customers and vendors
    • Communicate complicated information, deliver bad news effectively and exceed customer expectations
    • Work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues to accomplish shared responsibilities
    • Establish and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external individuals
  • Skill in managing details and maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Skill in utilizing Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
