A Technical / Business Analyst (DTCC) typically plays a pivotal role in designing and mapping DTCC in and out of policy admin commission systems. The role will have a strong handle of things such as FAR and Com files and the business logic it uses.  While specific job descriptions may vary, here's an outline of what you might expect:


Job Overview: The Technical / Business Analyst  (DTCC) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust technology solutions that support the organization's business objectives. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams, to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and secure architectural designs.


Key Responsibilities:
1.    Solution Design: Develop architectural blueprints and technical design documents for new systems or enhancements to existing systems. Ensure that the designs align with technology standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
2.    Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and platforms to determine their suitability. Recommendations to senior management on technology adoption and innovation.
3.    Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, clarify technical concepts, and resolve design issues. Collaborate with developers, quality assurance engineers, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
4.    Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in proposed architectural designs. Implement security controls and design patterns to mitigate security threats and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
5.    Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance and scalability by fine-tuning architecture components, addressing bottlenecks, and implementing caching strategies. Conduct performance testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
6.    Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business and technical mappings that map to Legacy Policy Admin system commission systems.  Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
7.    Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and development teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technology organization.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in software development and architecture, preferably in the financial services industry.
•    Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, including SOA, microservices, and cloud computing.
•    Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using relevant technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, SQL, etc.
•    Familiarity with modern architectural patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, RESTful APIs, etc.) and design methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, etc.).
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are desirable but not mandatory.
