SUMMARY:           

 

  • The database analytics manager is responsible for overseeing the development, design, execution, and analysis of our guests' database marketing programs on all platforms. Responsible for managing database maintenance analytics, and direct mail operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of all marketing activities, creating and analyzing reports for tracking of business results and ensuring data integrity.
  • Responsible for list management activities to include report requests and query requests.
  • Analyze player revenue trends, using player frequency information.
  • Guide development (best practices) and targeting criteria for all campaigns, based on promotion, data availability, and past performance
  • Ad hoc analyses as requested.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Database Analytics, the Database Analytics Manager will assist in supervising the Database Analytics team to ensure timely and accurate execution of all projects.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
  • Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
  • Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form
  • Superior organization skills
  • Outstanding Guest service skills
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum of five years of recent experience performing data analysis and working with large datasets
  • Casino experience required
  • Familiarity with Aristocrat Player tracking system and ability to navigate player information preferred.
  • Familiarity with Opera hotel system where guest/group history is preferred.
  • Team Management experience required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) years' experience in database marketing and data analysis with strong background utilizing multiple databases
  • Knowledge of basic casino data and operations as it pertains to player gaming activity
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Superior organization and guest service abilities

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada State Gaming License. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Must be able to analyze data from various angles and offer all viewpoints for review.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Expert ability to query data and create statistical summaries and algorithms using coding languages (i.e., SQL, VBA, PL-SQL)
  • Ability to adapt/learn new software as acquired by the company for database analytics.
