We seek an experienced AV Design Engineer who can help drive our technology solution-based business model to take our designs to the next level. You will be a vital core team member for each project, mainly in the Northwestern AR area. You will provide technical direction and insight through the project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings, to implementation support. As a technical authority on a project team, the DE is instrumental in the determination and execution of client and system requirements providing a solution that delivers an optimized system to our clients. You will collaborate with internal teams, be the technical SME for the CAD, Integration, and Install teams as they bring your design to life.

Where will you be contributing?

• Collaborate & build solid relationships while engaged in complex projects with Clients and project teams to develop budgets, timelines, and manager expectations
• Conceptualize and develop designs based on project requirements, company standards, and best practices
• Negotiates changes in deliverables and schedules and is an escalation point for engineering issues
• Provide documentation for quotes, bid packages, BOM, and required engineering drawings
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, implementing the appropriate methods to keep production on the cutting edge while meeting financial goals and budgets
• The design engineer will be vital to the project lifecycle by establishing client partnerships and collaborating with team members to provide the best client experience delivering the right solution

 What do we require from you?

• A degree is preferred or equivalent in experience and certifications. High school diploma or GED required.
• A CTS is required, and the CTS-D is preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of engineering experience with a proven track record in taking extensive audio-visual project design from concept to completion.
• Network certifications desired: CompTIA Network+, Security +, Cisco CCNA, Extreme Networks ECA
• Certifications or training desired with at least one control system (Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.), DSP platform (Biamp, QSC, Clearone, etc.), AV over IP platform (Crestron, Evertz, AMX, etc.), and collaboration platform (Zoom, Webex, Teams, etc.)
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Must thoroughly understand commercial systems integration techniques and their application to AV design methodologies.
• Experience with IP Networking, including TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, PoE calculations, Multicasting, PIM, SM/DM, IGMP, SNMP, SSO, and Security Certificates
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Analytical, technical troubleshooting, and high-level problem-solving abilities.
