Job Summary

Responsible to manage cross functional teams in the planning, tracking, and completion of sustaining engineering programs and projects. Projects will range from implementing new designs, PCBA respins, validation plans, cost down & efficiency programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

  • Responsible for creating and updating schedules and driving completion of milestones in a timely manner
  • Will lead cross functional project teams to a common goal and successful end point
  • Required to provide weekly and monthly status reports for key projects
  • Will manage day to day activities in a matrix organization to ensure tasks and milestones are completed in a timely manner
  • Some projects may include working with outside engineering firms
  • Must be able to understand project risks and lead efforts to create mitigation plans
  • Will be a key contributor in problem resolution and implementation of solutions
  • Candidate will have a technical degree, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft office tools
  • Embody and deliver the “Exceptional Everyday”

Qualifications
 

Education

Associate’s degree required

Bachelor’s degree required

Master’s degree required

PhD required

Education and experience combination:

Associate’s degree is equivalent to 18 months of experience

Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to three (3) years of experience

Master’s degree is equivalent to four (4) years of experience

Specific Area of Study: BSEE/BSME preferred

2 to 5 years relevant experience

5 to 8 years relevant experience

8+ years relevant experience

Specific Related Experience:
 

Skills

  • Knowledge of contract manufacturing
  • Experience running program or project teams
  • Medical device or laser experience is not required although preferred
  • Must be able to work with personnel at all levels of the company
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience developing medical devices in an ISO and FDA regulated environment is preferred.
  • Experience with PLM systems for changes and documentation is preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Takes responsibility for assigned projects, requirements, and schedules.
  • Works well with others, is thorough and demonstrates good judgment
  • Inspire cooperation and success among the Engineering team.

  • Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Potential Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
  • Potential Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
  • Safety Shoes compliant with site specific policies/procedures must be worn in designated areas
