Recruitment (CCE) - Compliance Specialist III
The Compliance Specialist III is responsible for HR, Onboarding and Compliance for the filed staff. Employee supervises the complex technical duties performed by other team members in the employment processing of all applicants, including substitute and contract employees.
●Provide insight into California legal requirements
●Provide manager with research as necessary (Example: DFEH/FEHA)
●Manage complex internal and external processes, e.g., BII Process
●Process resignations for field staff
●Assist with personal and medical leaves for field staff
●Complete unique verifications of employment requests that cannot go to The Work Number
●Propose changes in procedures and identify problem areas
●Oversight and responsibility for completion of compliance and onboarding for all field staff
●Manage On-boarding, background and reference checks, paperwork preparation and follow-up of field new hires
●Respond to complex escalated inquiries related to on-boarding.
●Establishes and reviews the processes performed by the subordinate team member to ensure all credentialed and licensed employees are legally compliant.
●Performs a wide variety of complex and responsible clerical and administrative support duties.
●Serve as the point of contact for new hires during the on-boarding process
●Ensure applicants are providing all documentation necessary to the on-boarding process in a timely manner
●Conduct background investigations, including contacting references and reviewing AccuTrac
●Review initial and ongoing LiveScan results
●Ensure all permits, credentials and licenses are clear of issues and legally compliant
●Track and follow-up prior to expiration of permits, credentials, and licenses to ensure ongoing compliance
●Prepare and maintain a variety of reports, lists, records, and files. Initiate and update HRS (Human Resource System) records for newly hired employees (Applicant Stack,etc)
●Update HRS (Human Resource System) compliance records for new and current employees
●Review the completion of all hiring records, forms, and information completed by applicants; identify problems or issues of concern in the hiring of employees
●Coordinate personnel changes with Corporate (W4/DE4, direct deposit)
●Proposed changes in procedures and identify problem areas
●Other duties as assigned
Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
●3 to 5 years of HR or Credentialing administration in high volume environment required
●Strong Computer/Technological skills using Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
●Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
●Ability to communicate effectively.
●Strong time management and organizational skills.
●Ability to type at least 50 net words per minute
●Knowledge and ability to work with word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems
●Experience using Google Drive (i.e., Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms)
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
