ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Design and detailing of Piping and HVAC mechanical systems.
- Plan and effectively utilize the general time to advance the quality and efficiency of the office.
Work directly with other team members and project engineers, management of team varies with project and task. When owning a specific task, delegate and coordinate effectively with assigned supporting team members.
SPECIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong CAD skills with AutoCAD Fabrication and Revit experience. Revit is our primary design tool with rapidly decreasing AutoCAD use.
- Strong, detailed pipe design skills in building HVAC, process and manufacturing applications.
- Understanding of construction procedures, fabrication drawing detailing requirements, and contract document (bid document) requirements.
Education and/or experience:
5+ years of design experience. Experience performing pipe detailing for construction or as in-house mechanical contractor project engineering strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small and large groups
Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies and provide solutions; Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions; Ability to develop and support conclusions.
Frequent communication (verbal and listening), standing and reaching is required. Vision abilities required by this job include close-up reading and ability to adjust focus.
The work environment is usually quiet. Safety glasses and other required protection required to be worn when on client jobsites or in manufacturing areas.
