IT Manager/Network Administrator
The IT manager oversees the information technology strategy and staff for MAS. They develop and implement the policies and goals for the IT department. The IT manager analyzes the business requirements of different departments and determines the best use of technical resources. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining an organization's technology infrastructure. This position monitors the organization's operational requirements, research strategies and technology solutions, and builds the most cost-effective and efficient system to achieve those goals.
§ Direct and ensure the development and execution of IT related items, which support predefined operational goals.
§ Direct and oversee activities of the IT department, which provides support of all software applications and assets and have a direct effect on the operations of the company.
§ Develop and provide risk evaluation, compliance management processes and continuous-improvement programs within enterprise guidelines.
§ Monitors projects/technical work and schedules.
§ Coordinates communications across IT groups, user and customer communities.
§ Directs and oversees works with the corporate leadership team to integrate cross program activities and provide in-depth technical expertise
§ Oversees IT Application Support (Nysus/Insequence)
§ Perform employee performance evaluations
§ Oversee and monitor IT policies and procedures
§ Interface with various levels of personnel at MAS and associated companies, customers and outside vendors
§ Ensure all groups work cohesively with each other and other IT department sections to support IT initiatives in the most effective way
§ Provide prompt and effective coaching and counseling
§ Responsible for discipline/counseling of employees when necessary
§ Responsible for the performance of staff
§ Create a professional environment that respects individual differences and enables all employees to develop and contribute to their full potential
§ Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to guidelines of company safety policies and procedures.
§ Lead by example
§ Perform any other assignments as requested by Management
§ Provides level of support for daily issues no matter what
§ Oversee management and maintenance of network and desktop environment
§ Ensures all IT infrastructure is proactively managed
§ Seek IT Director approval for new tunnel connections, A.D. instances and network equipment requests
§ Oversee proper storage and backup of all company data
§ Adhere to IT systems security protocols
§ Interact with internal customers to resolve their issues
§ Be able to resolve help desk calls and tickets in a proficient amount of time while demonstrating above average customer service skills
§ Perform Helpdesk function when needed
§ Assist in implementations for new business as well as change requests through user training, unit testing, as well as process document creation
§ Maintain active directory and security functions, including antivirus updates, software patch updates, etc in compliance with corporate standards
§ Bachelor’s Degree
§ Participation in at least 2 full life cycle implementations
§ Minimum of 5 years business experience in area of responsibilities
§ Good organizational skills
§ Experience in Cisco networking technologies
§ Experience in VMware and virtual technologies
§ Experience in SAN/NAS infrastructure
§ Proficient in disaster recovery/business continuity & data backup restoral procedures
§ Proficient in
o Python a plus
§ Experienced in data center operations
§ Experienced in Cyber Security operations
§ Experience in having employee reporting to them
