Program Overview:


Planned Parenthood Action Fund is partnering with Scale for Change to hire phone bankers to drive turnout when the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court of the United States ruling is issued. While the exact date is unknown, the decision is expected to be announced in late June 2022.


About the Position:


Phone bankers will complete phone calls to build a list of supporters who commit to turning out for local actions around the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health ruling. These roles will be key in sharing information and mobilizing supporters in this rapid response moment. If you’re fired up and ready to organize, we urge you to apply.

Primary Responsibilities


This is an entry-level role.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Make phone calls and send text messages to Planned Parenthood Action Fund and other coalition partner’s supporters to seek commitments to receive specific event information when it is available via text and email.
  • Mobilize this supporter list to local events throughout the country.

Job Requirements:

  • There is no formal education requirement for this position.
  • Must have the stamina to talk on the phone for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
  • Ability to memorize and recite scripts and statements prepared and provided by Scale.
  • Ability to collect information such as name, zip code, and/or email address for others to follow up quality control.
  • Consistently meet daily and weekly conversation goals.
  • Understand how to use a computer to sign up for shifts and to track and submit data.
  • Reliable internet connection to ensure remote work that supports joining video meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently based on employer requirements.
  • Good time management skills to fulfill goals within a specific period.

There is no formal education requirement for this position.

Salary and Benefits:


This is a short-term position with an expected end date of July 2, 2022. The position will be remote, reporting to the Call Center Manager, and is compensated at $15 per hour. Based on performance, there is an opportunity to be promoted to a lead position that pays $17 per hour.
