Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Data Science & Modeling
The Sr. Analyst (Lending Analytics) position applies strategic and analytical skills to challenges in the Lending businesses. This position is responsible for developing and testing strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line.
Essential Functions:
- Identifies business challenges and opportunities for improvement and leverages analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations.
- Supports direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for products. Helps build targeted insights to inform the development of new customer experiences and new go to market strategies.
- Supports improvements in credit risk performance by connecting drivers of consumer credit trends to historical behavior, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.
- Recommends strategy changes through to execution, and then monitors results to ensure that significant value for the business is created.
- Internal champion of change through effective communication and influencing where appropriate.
- Displays a “lead from the front” mentality in a fast-paced and evolving business environment dealing with competing priorities.
Compliance with Laws & Regulations:
- Responsible for complying with all of the Bank’s internal control policies and procedures.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject.
- Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts.
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as business, math, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, or a hard science is required, four (4) years’ experience accepted in lieu of education requirement.
- Three (3) years’ experience is required.
Summary of Qualifications:
- Recognized problem-solving and cross-functional organizing skills
- Expert-level proficiency with a broad array of analytical methods and tools (predictive modeling, statistical inference, Excel, SQL, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
