Job Title:  Fitness Coach

Job Purpose

• Offer the highest quality of service consistently and efficiently for our Membership.
• Provide genuine hospitality while being responsive to the goals and desires of our members

Operations

• Working knowledge of circuit workouts such as Matrix, TechnoGym, and HOIST
• Schedule and perform orientation appointments
  • Keep accurate records of members’ goals
  • Maintain member confidentiality
  • Instruct members on proper form and usage on all equipment
  • If a client’s needs go beyond your scope of experience or knowledge, please refer to a medical professional or to Personal Trainer that specializes in that particular need

• Ability to lead group programs and classes with prescribed formats.
• Promote and market all fitness classes and club programming
• Always remain visible and attentive while out on the fitness floor.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all fitness equipment. 
• Show attention to detail.  Adhere to program procedures and Club Fit policies
• Perform regular equipment maintenance checks

• Be responsible for achievement of customer satisfaction, and long-term member retention in line with company vision and values

• Perform other duties as assigned

Department Strategy and Communication

• Read and respond to all e-mails, and other communications within a 24-hour period

• Display a professional attitude, appearance and genuine hospitality

• Be knowledgeable of all Club Fit programs and schedules, not limited to personal training
• Demonstrate a genuine care and concern for our community

Professional and Technical Knowledge

• Ongoing Club Fit Training
  • Complete and attend all Club Fit compliance training sessions in 1Huddle.
  • Attend department meetings and ongoing educational workshops
• Professional Certification / Education
  • CPR/ AED
  • Maintain current National Personal Trainer Certification and/or Fitness related degree preferred
• Experience  
  • Professional experience providing personal training to individuals and groups preferred
  • Must be willing to obtain a fitness certification within the first 90 days of employment

 Team Work

• Uphold the Principles of Professional conduct as you interact with members and fellow staff
• Provide equal and fair treatment to all
• Maintain confidentiality of all personal member information
• Provide a safe environment, free from discrimination and harassment
• Break down and return all equipment
• Assist with shift coverage when needed.

Job Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk around for extended periods of time
• Report to work in appropriate Club Fit uniform and name tag
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to understand and communicate both verbally and written in English
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as required by business needs

Reporting Structure

• Direct Line to Fitness Director

Pay Range: 

$17-$18/per hour
