The Child Center Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) is a coeducational program in a warm, supportive environment that serves young people ages 12-18 who have had multiple psychiatric hospital placements or have been involved with the juvenile justice system. It is the only downstate RTF in the state that is a dual NYS Office of Mental Health/Office of Children and Family Services facility. We never consider it too late to give young people the help they need, and we are pleased to partner with these two agencies to ensure the young people in our care have the skills and support they need to achieve long-term success.

Reflecting The Child Center’s dedication to comprehensive care, the RTF is staffed by clinical coordinators, psychiatric providers, a pediatrician, and 24-hour nursing staff, 24 hour youth advocates. Supports are individualized and tailored to the needs of the young people.

 

Summary

The Director of Business Operations & Entitlements oversees the management, coordination and processes of the business and entitlements operations of the program.

 

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the oversight, implementation, and monitoring of business operations and functions in the RTF including:

  • SSI applications and Personal Needs Allowance
  • Educational registration within state including STAC2000/SETAL
  • Youth funds and discharge reconciliation including general spending levels, money management, utilization of resources, and substantiation of cash expenditures.
  • Internship/SYEP funds
  • Admission/Discharge/Transition business processes
  • Therapeutic/Hospital Bed Reservation Leave
  • Vendor contracts, accounts and payments
  • Trainings for program staff & families in regard to entitlements/PNA, etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of program staff in relation to business and entitlement services
  • Part of Leadership team within RTF working collaboratively to ensure maximum benefit attainment & compliance with all SSI and licensing bodies.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience
  • 3 years’ prior administrative & supervisory experience
  • 5 years’ experience in Social Security and Entitlement processes and PNA regulations
  • Prior experience in Medicaid/Private Health Insurance billing, preferably in non-profit organizations
