Credentialing Manager

 

This position is responsible for coordinating all components of clinical and non-clinical internship programs utilized by Behavioral Health, Early Childhood, Youth Development, Admin, Health Homes and Integrated Care.  This will be accomplished by working closely with the affiliated colleges and universities as well as training programs to establish screening criteria for interns and matching qualified students and new grads to opportunities at The Child Center and therefore building a pipeline of multi-disciplinary talent.   

The additional responsibilities include tracking licenses, credentials and certificates in collaboration with the HR TA and onboarding teams by following up with alerts for non-compliance, updating reports and using software applications through Dayforce/Relias.  Keeping up to date and informing management of changes in credentialing requirements as well as working with HR and Ops teams to update job descriptions and requirements in offer letters.  For licensed billable providers, ensure they complete Medicaid/Medicare applications timely and follow up for continued compliance.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates relationships with Undergraduate and graduate programs for social workers, Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family therapists, teachers, NP’s, RN’s, Psychiatrists, and Admin roles by scheduling open houses, posting internship program opportunities on their boards and speaking at career fairs as well as in classroom settings to brand TCCNY as a high quality training ground for interns and new grads. 
  • Responsible for securing and renewing affiliation agreements between TCCNY and the schools and universities aforementioned..
  • Maintains an updated database with specific compliance and/or training requirements for each clinical and non-clinical role across all divisions and review reports to alert staff and managers prior to licensure/certification expiration to stay in compliance with government regulations and clinical and pedagogical best practice.
  • Liaison with Directors and Hiring Managers to continually collaborate and provide tools to improve the performance of all interns and new grads, along with OEX Training Curriculum.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and documents student compliance activities to include agency orientation, and completion of required forms, EMR trainings, and screenings in addition to case conferencing and maintain compliance with all training requirements.
  • Participates in intern placement planning and scheduling for students.
  • Plans and attends clinical coordination forums, pre-clinical summit events, career fairs, student forums, and conferences as appropriate to prepare and assess clinical program effectiveness.
  • Completes work in a timely manner, including preparing, documenting, and tracking internship placement assignments.
  • Facilitates student orientation at various divisions as needed.
  • Assists with the management of background clearances for students and new hires..
  • Manages all clinical and site evaluations and manages the databases.

Any other duties as may be assigned or required.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required

Masters degree a plus

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and database software.  Ceridian Dayforce a plus, DocuSign

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
