Smith Tower bartenders and servers are purveyors of spirits, handcrafted cocktails, delicious meals, and experiences in the 35th floor Observatory. THE BRASS TACKS

·As a bartender, prepare all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage orders for bar area guests and service team in accordance with recipe standards

·As a server, deliver food and beverage orders for restaurant and/or bar area guests

·Collaborate with the bar team and leadership on cocktail menu recipes and specials

·Enter orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicate any special requests to the culinary team.

·Ensure attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensure that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature

·Maintain daily knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items 

· Keep work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized
· Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash handling procedures  

·May assist with monthly bar inventory as needed

·Other duties as assigned by leadership

THE NITTY GRITTY

·Minimum 2 years’ experience as a bartender in high volume and/or craft cocktail environments

·Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system

·Working knowledge of fine dining and beverage service procedures

·Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations

·Necessary State Food Handler’s and Liquor Service License(s)

·Craft cocktail knowledge required

·Strong knowledge of spirits and cocktail history preferred

·Able to carry 25 pounds up and down one flight of stairs
