Role Summary:

Team members within Business Support Services team will cross train on many different tasks to ensure business needs are met. The Business Support Services team function as the front line of the company and will interact with clients daily. In some cases, Business Support may also be asked to support entry level tasks within other OOS division teams such as billing and collections and provider enrollment.

As a team, Business Support is staffed 7 days a week (on varying schedules) and may be asked to provide support on weekends and Holidays as needed (and determined by level of training). Daily job functions include patient eligibility verification for Hospitals and direct client contact. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient eligibility, visit authorization requirements and timely filing periods.
  • Support the Quarterly or Bi-Annual Retro Eligibility Project
  • Review accounts for patient eligibility prior to account closure
  • Routine Payor and Bill Book Updates
  • Seeks opportunity to obtain additional information on Medicaid payors as relative to eligibility verifications (authorization requirements, ID formats and timely filing periods) 
  • Guide clients through Eligibility Submission Process
  • Connect clients to appropriate OOS Medicaid contact, as needed.
  • Special Projects requested by Billing or Enrollment teams to identify any trends or pressure points in the workflow.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of administrative or customer service experiences
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with insurance payors (Medicaid, Commercial, etc.)
  • Minimum 1 year of patient eligibility verification experience. 
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Professional Demeanor: This is a client-facing role and requires that the associate represent Centauri.
  • Fast learner who can pick up new concepts and detailed procedures.       
  • Strong customer service
  • Willingness to ask questions and utilize available resources to resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently but also collaborate with a team, as needed.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is bonus eligible in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.
