JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Night Operations Shift Manager will work under the direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager and is responsible for directing all activities of the Night Operations shift. Provide leadership to the Night Shipping Supervisors and Floor Leads to actively manage all activities of the shift to include, order selection, quality inspections, forklift replenishing, dock flow, office management, sanitation and safety. Develop and implement systems and processes to increase productivity, order accuracy, and on-time truck departures to ensure customer satisfaction. Interact with all employees in a positive manner to ensure a positive work environment and increase employee retention.

Develop future leaders for all night shift leadership positions
Processes:
Ownership for identifying efficiency opportunities, developing new processes and leading change initiatives with the focus on continually striving to streamline the overall operation and reduce operating costs
Continually improve processes and procedures to meet or exceed key performance indicators for order accuracy, quality, productivity, inventory adjustments, and safety
Learn all functionality of Produce Pro as it relates to the operation of the night shift to ensure all procedures are developed in accordance to optimal utilization of the system
Prepare and manage work schedules to provide proper shift coverage, while minimizing overtime and maximizing shift throughput
Work with the Safety and Loss Prevention Manager to develop training programs for order selectors and forklift operators to ensure safe and productive operations of all equipment
Monitor loading process to ensure on-time departures and that pallets are inspected for meeting our standards
Ensure that the warehouse is inspection ready and meets all Food Safety standards
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a high school diploma; four-year degree from an accredited college or university is an advantage
Five years of experience in a Distribution leadership role, preferably in a food distribution environment
Exceptional personal relationship skills
Strong leadership skills and ability to develop accountability systems to achieve high level goals
Excellent ability to analyze data timely, efficiently, effectively, and multi-task projects and assignments simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to remain focused with changing objectives, deadlines, and priorities beyond one’s control
Excellent computer skills with the ability to analyze data and formulate improvement plans based on results
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a team
Extraordinary communication skills
Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
Must pass a drug and alcohol screen.

Lifting of objects up to 60 lbs. may be necessary. Pushing objects up to 500 lbs. This position requires moderate climbing, kneeling, crawling, stooping, squatting or bending. It does require working in 34-degree temperatures in coolers, as well as, a below 0-degree freezer.
