Hybrid work model

Columbia Association (CA) is seeking a motivated self-starter to serve as a Senior Auditor, reporting to the Director of Audit and Advisory Services.

CA’s Office of Audit and Advisory Services provides independent and objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve operations. The department reports administratively to the President/CEO and functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor to have a key role in a small, high-achieving department. The ideal candidate can comfortably provide an agile approach to assurance and advisory responsibilities while maintaining full compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Professional Standards. Working alongside the Director of Audit and Advisory Services, the Senior Auditor provides risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight. Responsibilities include planning, conducting and reporting on the results of audits (financial, compliance, operational, investigative) and advisory engagements.

Qualified candidates have experience successfully working with cross-functional teams to problem-solve and achieve goals and objectives. Candidates must also be able to effectively manage and liaise with outsourced technical auditors and CA’s external auditors.

Other required proficiencies and experience include:

Application of audit principles, techniques, and critical thinking to projects of varying degrees of complexity
Performance of risk assessments and risk-based auditing
Communication and presentation of information effectively (written and oral)
Analysis of financial and operational information
Evaluation of internal controls and processes
Business and nonprofit acumen
Data mining and data analytics
Using and assessing Information systems - financial, human resources, customer management

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study
Certified Public Accountant and/or Certified Internal Auditor
5+ years progressive audit experience

Salary 100K - 110K
