Programmer/Analyst III

Vista Technical Services, LLC (VTS) has an immediate opening for an experienced .Net Developer to join our Programmer/Analyst Team as a Programmer\Analyst III.

The Programmer Analyst III works under the direction of the Project Manager to implement and support IT solutions that sustain and support the customer's organizational missions, with strategic focus on readiness and reliability. This position will focus on continuation of migrating Web and Client applications written in Java to ASP.NET, development of front-end as well as back-end programming, designing new functionality, along with refactoring, debugging and improving existing functionality.

This position will support a contract at Rock Island Arsenal, IL, but the successful candidate may be located anywhere in the Continental USA. United States Citizenship Required.

• Migrate Web and Client applications written in Java to ASP.NET
• Design, code, configure, test and deploy C# .Net and database interfaces.
• Perform systems integration & verification, develop test plans/procedures and execute test events.
• Author technical customer presentations, test reports and technical deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues.

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of experience of working in ASP.NET/C#.Net using Visual Studio, with strong experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
• Preferred Experience with Oracle Database Scripting including SQL and PL/SQL and ability to write and diagnose issues with stored procedure, and functions, and experience with writing custom ETL routines.
• Java programming or any C-based language are a plus.
• Well rounded individual capable of performing in fast paced, complex and challenging environment.
• Ability to create and manage documentation to reflect additions or updates to the system.
• Identifies problem trends and corrective actions and documenting these through modification of existing best practices guidelines.
• Must be able to build application solutions in a collaborative development environment.
• Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being pro-active in keeping management informed of project related issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly.
• Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Proven strong relationship-building and communication skills with team members and business users

Required/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent AND five (5) years of progressively complex information technology and/or programming experience; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience must include significant work with application programming.
• Experience in Java web and desktop application development.
• Experience in ASP.Net C# application development.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience with and knowledge Oracle 12c.
• Experience with and knowledge of IDE (Netbeans and Visual Studio preferred).
• Experience with and knowledge of repository tools (Team Foundation Server and GIT preferred).
• Knowledge of HTTP.
• Ability to engage with fellow team-members to collectively solve problems and regularly release code.
• Ability to set goals and work independently.
• Strong communication (oral/written) and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under time pressure
• Proficient in MS suite of products including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AND 
• Visio
