IT Program Manager

Vista Defense Technologies (VDT) is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple technology programs within Naval Hospital Jacksonville (NHJAX). The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can manage projects and stakeholders across the organization to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resources for multiple IT programs.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Establish program governance and communication processes, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and project visibility.
• Manage risks and issues, and proactively identify and mitigate project obstacles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals, priorities, and timelines.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders, including progress against objectives, key metrics, and risk management.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of emerging trends and best practices in technology program management and apply them to our organizational needs.
• Ensure completion of monthly reports and deliverables.
• Provide day-to-day assistance and status to contractor team and government staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with (4) years of management experience within similar government agencies or domains, including management of personnel in multiple remote locations or
• 8+ years of experience in IT program management, including experience managing Web Development, PC Support, Help Desk, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and Project Management as well as familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across departments as well as with external organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Experience managing large-scale programs with cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder groups.
• PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.

• Certifications: Current Security +CE (enrolled in CEP) Certification is required.

• Candidates MUST have U.S. citizenship or the ability to obtain citizenship and be able to pass a government background investigation.
