EIS is seeking a Laboratory Manager

 

Mandatory Qualifications

Active and current Secret Clearance required.

 

  • The contractor employee shall have a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, with a preference for chemistry, biology, or related fields.
  • The contractor employee shall have at least five (5) years of experience managing bio- technology or medical laboratories in a similar role with experience managing large teams of lab personnel.
  • The contractor employee shall have knowledge of USAF regulations regarding LMCA, MEMO, and AFTO 244 equipment standards and differences.
  • The contractor employee shall have the ability to lift/move 50lbs.
  • The contractor employee shall have strong organizational and managerial skills.
  • The contractor employee should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • The contractor employee shall demonstrate an exceptionally high capacity for working autonomously and performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • The contractor employee shall have and maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards for biotechnology, sensors development and cognitive neuroscience laboratories.
  • The contractor employee shall demonstrate proficiency on Microsoft Office and laboratory management software.
  • The contractor employee shall have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on the potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information. NDA shall be provided to the Government Program Manager by start of performance.

Tasks

 

  • The contractor employee shall assist in the management and oversight of the operations of 37 labs across multiple buildings, branches, and sections to ensure all labs operate efficiently, safely, and effectively.
  • The contractor employee shall assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory operations and ensure overall compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • The contractor employee shall monitor lab inventory and supplies, ensuring they are properly stocked and properly disposed of based on relevant chemical and biological hygiene regulations, i.e. 711 HPW Chemical Hygiene Plan, and ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.
  • The contractor employee shall assist in the management of lab personnel daily duties, including training and performance management.
  • The contractor employee shall coordinate all laboratory activities with other departments within the Division or neighboring organizations.
  • The contractor employee shall assist in the management of laboratory budgets to ensure the most cost-effective operations are in-place.
  • The contractor employee shall track/maintain physical and electronic records of available equipment and maintain visibility of off-site equipment (ie: hand receipt tracking).
  • The contractor employee shall manage the lab equipment using the knowledge of USAF regulations regarding LMCA, MEMO, and AFTO 244 equipment standards and differences.
  • The contractor employee shall coordinate with on-base personnel to conduct/track maintenance of identified equipment.
  • The contractor employee shall purge/decontaminate equipment for turn-in.
  • The contractor employee shall assist with annual reviews of the entire equipment inventory.
  • The contractor employee shall assist with transferring equipment from contract to government ownership following 711 HPW/RHB purchasing policies.
