TSS is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist

 

A Top-Secret level security clearance is required.

 

This position shall be required to work at two locations in Arlington and

Springfield Virgina and report directly to the contract program supervisor. 

This position will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules, assigned tasks, and program priorities. 

 

Position responsibilities include reviewing assigned tasks and schedules conferring with

COR, Office Services Staff and/or Springfield Warehouse staff to determine material  

Requirements and availability overseeing requisitions and establishing delivery

sequences according to job order priorities.

 

Inventory management is required to anticipate availability of material, coordinate transfers of material with on time delivery in accordance with production schedules and task assignments.

Coordinating with requesting offices for repairs, deliveries, or assembly of

material to complete assigned tasks.

 

Complete quality review and account for all materials delivered to ensure it meets

required specifications and proper reconcilement of quantities of materials is completed and all moving requirements and techniques are followed. 

 

Perform or oversee the transporting and relocation of material from one department to

another, using hand or industrial truck.

 

Train all Material Handlers and maintain accountable for services at both contract locations.   

 

Assist the Program Supervisor with all moves, supply deliveries, equipment pick up, furniture and surplus equipment.

 

Monitor and assign all tasks submitted to the contractor

tasking email box.

 

Ensure completion of all assigned tasks.

 

Coordinate with all requestors to ensure all requirements are met and completed on time.

 

Perform the duties of Program Supervisor, as required.

 

Operate Government owned vehicles when required or as a back-up to Courier/Driver or any vehicle operator position.

 

Provide logistical support for the organization and ensure all related

operations meeting schedule and quality requirements.

 

Coordinate the shipment of goods and track the inventory, ensure on time completion of all related tasks.

 

Implement corrective action and communicate with necessary personnel as needed to ensure on time delivery and completion of job and task assignments.    

 

Qualifications:

 

High School diploma or equivalent. Able to read, write and

speak English fluently and be fully trained in the requirements of this contract.

 

Five years of direct experience in logistics management

 

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to ensure on time delivery

 

Physically able to perform the assigned tasks to include lifting boxes weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

 

Minimum of two years’ experience using the Windows Operating System environment and

MSWord, Excel software.
