SUMMARY:

This position serves as the Electronic Health Records (EHR)Trainer who assists the Director of Quality and the EHR Coordinator in developing and implementing a coordinated plan for Borrego Health to adopt, implement and report utilization of electronic health records data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative Functions:

1. Assist in the coordination of EHR implementation for Borrego Health.
2. Helps provide training to all staff and providers as required for implementation of EHR.
3. Assits in the development of workflows, traingin guides , process, policies and procedures for use with EHR implementation.
4. Provides support to all EHR users and clinics as needed.
5. Assists in tracking and reporting on EHR adoption and Meaningful Use progress.
6. Works with site mangers to coordinate EHR training for staff members.
7. Works with EHR Coordinator to troubleshoot EHR and overall system issues realted to EHR use.
8. Works with EHR vendor (SuccessEHS) as needed for troubleshooting as well as for optimization of the EHR.
9. Assits the EHR Coordinator and Director fo Quality in gathering data as required by conducting audits, surveys, and studies in accordance with established EHR guidelines.
10. Assits EHR Coordinator and Director of Qualty with ongoing EHR audits to demonstrate compliance with EHR utilization guidelines.
11. Provides reports and information as requested by the Director of Quality regarading EHR training and implementation.
12. Participates in EHR monthly meetings.
13. Performs other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma
2. Experience in the healthcare(field 2-5 years).

Special Conditions of Employment:

1. Valid Driver’s licens.
2. Current and Valid CPR and First Aide certification on file with the Human Resources Department. This is for clinical and administrative staff. This new license requirement is mandatory for continued employment, CPR and First Aide certification must be obtained though the American Heart Association. Internet certificates do not comply and for this reason are not valid.
