JOB SUMMARY:

The Treasury Management Officer position performs a variety of duties in developing relationships, which includes heavy involvement in the labor movement and the communities that Bank of Labor serves, to achieve divisional/departmental goals.  This position is performed with a high degree of independence and is under the direction of the SVP Operations, Treasury Services and Sales.  Individual has primary accountability for promoting the Bank of Labor as the financial institution of choice in the region.  The employee’s performance influences the professional image of the Bank of Labor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • 4-year degree in business administration, finance or equivalent related field working in a sales goal environment.
  • Working knowledge of banking products and services.
  • 5+ years of banking or marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated and meaningful level of business development in the following areas: Loans, Treasury Services and Trust.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills are required and good understanding of compliance along with internal procedures and policies. 
  • Full understanding of the selling process with experience developing/implementing targeted marketing and sales strategies.
  • Experience with SalesForce or other CRM systems.
  • Responsible for the acquisition of new clients and seeks business opportunities from existing client relationships.
  • PC skills in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word are required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal communications, verbal and written, is mandatory.
  • Requires daily interaction with all divisions within the bank as well as Sr Leadership of the clients we serve.  Concise communication, translation and interpretation of various concepts are critical.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple departments on a frequent basis.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed and ability to work nights and weekends as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS:

  • Job Performance Behaviors: Contributing to organization success, job effectiveness, relationships and customer satisfaction. 
  • Responsible for attending events, as assigned by SVP Operations,Treasury Services and Sales.  Duties at events include but are not limited to: presenting to large and small groups on banking services offered, identifying prospects and strategies designed to grow assets of Bank, and networking as needed to build relationships.  
  • Work with Labor Market Development/Community Bank,Lending and Trust Services to provide treasury product support, education, and assist during the sales and onboarding process. 
  • Regional market – must have a thorough understanding of the regional market and its existing clients.  Work with the Commercial Loan Division/ Community Bank to develop and implement a business plan for the assigned regional market addressing servicing of the established client base as well as identifying, recruiting and onboarding of new clients within the region. 
  • Responsible for identifying center of influence, community leaders, and prospects within the region in order to build relationships; educating them on the efficiency and effectiveness of the Bank of Labor’s treasury offerings.
