General Description:

Reporting to the Director of Post-Production, the Editor/Producer brings a passion for sports, storytelling, editing and producing to our Emmy-award winning Ravens Productions team. The person in this role is responsible for creative development and execution of both long-form and short-form video. This position will collaborate to create dynamic content for multiple platforms including social media, television, and our in-stadium Ravensvision boards. The successful applicant will be a creative storyteller and ultimate team player, with a track record of editing and producing unique content. The person in this role will be heavily involved in Ravens Wired, the team’s Emmy Award-winning long form inside-access series. This position will also edit highlights, short-form social content, and produce a high volume of projects throughout the year. 

*This is an in-person position based out of the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, MD. This position requires working nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Edit content in a variety of styles including short & long form, commercials, high-energy highlights, and documentary-style programming.
• Work with producers, editors, and animators to tell stories through creative editing, music, and graphics. Create a stunning end-product incorporating motion graphics, color correction, and sound mixing.
• Elevate Ravens Productions’ feature content production. Collaborate on story planning and pitch process and work closely with Ravens Productions team to develop new ideas.
• Produce, direct and guide shoots and conduct off-camera interviews for features.
• Establish and maintain excellent, respectful professional relationships with coaches, players, and front office staff.

Experience and/or Educational ​Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum five years of editing and producing experience

Prerequisite Knowledge and/or Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere, and advanced experience with video editing in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively with production and editing staff at all levels
• Proven skills in field producing and working with talent and interview subjects
• Written and verbal communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with team members and others throughout the organization.
• Impeccable organizational skills
• Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur
• This position will not have opportunities to shoot camera, but will require assisting our cinematographers on field shoots when producing content
