Chief Operating Officer – Full Time - Days
JOB TITLE: Chief Operating Office
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Exempt
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Executive Management
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: President/CEO
POSITION SUMMARY: The Chief Operating Officer maximizes the effectiveness of the organization through operational oversight and strategic leadership. The COO prioritizes effective agency planning, decision making and inter-departmental collaboration. Assists the CEO in ensuring financial stability and growth of Intandem and affiliated organizations through the development and oversight of business planning, long-term financial plans, and service and financial oversight of operational departments.
The COO plays a key role in enhancing each programs effectiveness and capacities while reinforcing a culture of cross collaboration which reflects the agency’s values and strategic priorities. Maintains accountability for the legal, ethical, and fiscal integrity of operating programs. Oversee legal, ethical, and financial integrity of operating programs; facilitate and enforce positive resolution of concerns. Establish and maintain networks and partnerships with representatives from the community, government, business, not-for-profit, and Human Services sectors. Participate in activities, events, and volunteer opportunities that enhance the agency’s standing in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or related field
Ten (10) years of management experience in related field with at least four (4) of those years at the senior leadership level
Five (5) years program management experience that includes fiscal management responsibility and experience working with people from an array of disability groups (ex. DD, TBI, MH) strongly preferred.
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
Combination education, experience, and background knowledge sufficient to meet regulatory requirements and be successful at the Senior Administrative level
