Commissions Accountant

We are looking for a Commissions Accountant to join our team. The Commissions Accountant will assist with commission payments to insurance agents, respond to agent inquiries and maintain agent and insurance carrier commission schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Review and format commission files received from carriers; identifying and addressing file issues with the appropriate parties to resolve
• Review transactions reported including reconciliation of reports, commission statements, commission overrides, charge backs and advances
• Process commission transactions in accordance with policy and procedure
• Communicate the status of payments to appropriate parties
• Prepare commission and debit statements in accordance with policy and procedure
• Serve as a liaison between carrier, agent, and internal departments to address and resolve commission disputes
• Process incoming mail & maintain and timely filing all commission statement correspondence
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Commission experience working with Insurance Carrier procedures/Industry Regulations preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Experience general accounting / bookkeeping helpful
• Experience with Callidus Cloud a definite plus, but not required
• Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language
