Responsible for retaining current membership by assisting members with the completion and processing of Government health program applications; responds to all inquiries regarding the application process from both new and existing members and strives to meet daily production metrics designed to achieve higher membership retention.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Complete welcome calls for members that are newly enrolled
  • Reach out to and provide customers with solutions to their needs on a regular basis
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing members by providing guidance and assistance through the recertification process, demonstrate passion for members by identifying unfulfilled needs and providing necessary education and assistance to promote the value and benefits offered by the Plan, modify delivery skills accordingly to overcome objections and retain members and identify solutions to issues and concerns
  • Stay up to date on products and processes
  • Guide consumers through the health insurance policy selection and application process while providing an excellent consumer experience for all callers
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation necessary to complete the application process and track and input actions taken during the recertification process to ensure all member accounts correctly reflect activities performed
  • Input, update, and create member information on databases to maintain customer accounts
  • Call existing customers to review Medicare health insurance and prescription drug plans
  • Listen and respond to immediate needs of customers
  • Provide additional cross product solutions
  • Provide customer with best solution based upon immediate need and budgetary concerns
  • Create an easy and enjoyable experience for all customers
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Effective verbal communication skills, both in-person and via phone
  • Personable and professional
  • Insurance license
  • Call Center Experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in inside sales, having an active 2-15 or 2-40 license is preferred but not required
  • Strong time management skills
  • Passion to help others
  • Drive to succeed
