We are currently looking for a Senior Scrum Master who will coordinate multiple cross-functional Agile product teams to utilize the principles, practices, and tools of the SAFe (Scalable Agile Framework) Agile Framework to help the team achieve its goal and build high performing teams.  The candidate we are seeking will educate and coach the team in SAFe framework to identify, and manage the backlog, track daily sprint progress, maintain schedules, and act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams to remove roadblocks, resolve conflicts, and decide actions. 

 

This is a full-time position at our corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA (Robinson Township), reporting to our Director of Product Management and Strategy. 

 
Position Responsibilities: 

 

  • Manage Agile Product Teams operating in SAFe Agile model to deliver successful IT solutions with the goal of achieving results in line with organization’s values, principles, and business objectives. 
  • Help the team assess and address their ‘Agile Maturity,’ adopt continuous learning mindset via coaching. 
  • Support team members in resolving interpersonal conflicts, problem solving and decision-making.  
  • Help the team provide transparency by ensuring artifacts are inspected, identifying significant differences between expected and actual results, and detecting anti-patterns. 
  • Monitors team / project performance, leverage standard metrics, track daily sprint progress and progress against project roadmap. Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, value measurement. 
  • Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to by the product team and a voice of reason; focus on Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and iterative, incremental delivery.  
  • Facilitates all agile events as requested or needed; ensures the product team is fully functional and productive 
  • Drive Sprint Planning, and PI (Program Increment) Planning g with Product Owner and Scrum Team 
  • Assist the Product Owner in effectively manage backlog and measuring value 
  • Ensure compliance documentation is completed 
  • Remove impediments/blockers, shield the team from external interferences, and enable collaboration across all l roles 

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimumof 6-8 years of Scrum Master experience 
  • Knowledge of SaFe (SAFe Certification as Scrum Master) 
  • Experience in an Agile Software Development environment 
  • Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)  
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, distributed environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact 
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and courage to suggest changing how we work. 
  • Proven aptitude to learn quickly and improve processes. 
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships. 
  • Well versed and experienced with the software development lifecycle 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
