The Learning Management System Administrator role is responsible for the overall performance and administration of AbleLight’s Learning Management System (LMS), Relias. This role will partner with the Learning and Development team in addition to other internal/external stakeholders to design the structure and maintain the content housed in the LMS. Additionally, this role will assist the Learning and Development team in applying knowledge of the LMS application to develop and execute learning solutions. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the LMS to serve the learning needs of the organization. Delivers continuous effort and initiative to improve learning and Relias operation, optimizes learning service delivery through the LMS, and maintains application functionality. This role is expected to leverage all new and existing features of the LMS to support optimal use.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3 years of experience administering learning management system software, preferably Relias.
  • 1 year of experience creating/designing instructional content.
  • Experience in technical/business writing for the purposes of developing process and training documentation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles, and of a wide range of training methods, techniques, and formats.
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques for planning, designing, developing, and virtually delivering instructional content.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Excel:  Must be capable of creating pivot tables/charts, V and H-lookups.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for business needs. Estimated at 1-4 times per year.
  • Work from home position, with residency in one of our primary states of operations: Wisconsin, California, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon, or Washington.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers the LMS functions including maintenance of learner profiles, hierarchy, and notifications to ensure appropriate learning is delivered to the target audience.
  • Ensure the seamless functioning of the LMS, troubleshoot issues, and implement updates, as necessary.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to design the structure and maintain the content housed in the LMS.
  • Prepare, review and upload content into LMS.
  • Create assessments/evaluations, convert various file extensions, and assist with troubleshooting within the LMS.
  • Support training compliance through routine audits, reporting (to support audit/inspection requests), and employee status tracking.
  • Oversee the creation, edit and/or retirement of training content and curricula in the LMS. Edit/link training materials to ensure availability to users via the LMS and maintain training records for easy retrieval.
  • Serve as a Point of Contact (POC) or liaison between employees and technical resources as required; escalate issues through the proper channels and work with escalation point person to achieve issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology (IT), HRIS support staff, internal team members and vendor teams to integrate system enhancements and optimizations.
  • Provide customer service to users, address inquiries and issues related to the LMS.
  • Manage the preparation and import of Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) courses into the LMS including review and testing of courses.
