Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village is looking for a professional, high-energy Bistro Attendant/Bartender with excellent communication skills to serve cocktails and food to residents. The Bistro Attendant/Bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food.

Shift: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Some Weekend Availability

Shift: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM

To succeed as a Bistro Attendant/Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Bartender Responsibilities:

• Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Developing new cocktail recipes.

Bartender Requirements:

• High School Diploma.
• Bartending License.
• Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
• Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
• Must be 21+

Bistro Attendant Responsibilities:

• Maintain standards of Food and Beverage quality and guest service quality.
• Greet residents and guests.
• Ensure prompt requests for drink orders.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
• Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meal portions have been completed.
• Clear and reset tables.
• Complete all side work as assigned.
• Maintain a clean work and storage area.
• May assist in the set-up, cleaning, and refreshing of the function rooms.
• Attend department meetings.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Process all orders using Micros and collect payment from customers, and provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to residents.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of Food and Beverage prep areas, counting the bank at end of shifts, and following property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
