A day as a Cook: 

 

  • Prepare and cook items according to specification/recipe.
  • Bake and prepare pastry items according to specification/recipe. 
  • Ensure that all dishes served meet the DO&CO standard.
  • Act as a role model while taking part in service – preparing and cooking dishes.
  • Monitor wastage and complete assigned tasks on multiple stations within the given time to meet strict deadlines. 
  • Always keep the immediate work area clean and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.  
  • Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.

Who you are:   
 

  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in Pastry/Bakery preferably with large production volume 
  • Knowledge of baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times  
  • Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field is desirable 
  • Certificate in culinary arts, or relevant field is desirable. 
  • Must have flexibility to work various shifts according to business needs.
