We have an exciting opportunity for a Guide to join our DO&CO Family in our New York Building 81 unit.

Responsibilities: 

  

  • Assist catering operations with loading, unloading, pick-up and delivery of goods and materials. 
  • Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications and ensure flights are always catered for correctly. 
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including cleanliness, fueling, and pre/post checks) and reports any vehicle irregularities to dispatch/management immediately. 
  • Comply with all airports, airlines, and other applicable rules/regulations. 
  • Comply with food, safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 
  • Communicate general information to the public and other concerned parties regarding department policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  

  • Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment. 
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature changes and noise. 
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy five (75) pounds. 
  • Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet. 
  • Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members, make sure communication is clear and understood by coworkers. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in loading, unloading or any related logistics activities. 
  • High school diploma preferred. 
  • Valid driving license required. 
  • Must have flexible availability.
